Cellular Forum

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

On April 26, the wireless development group conducted a cellular technology forum where we discussed with 10 students what were the different types of information they would want access to in their mobile devices. One major feature that the students wanted access to was text messaging. Students informed us that they didn’t have a problem having a SMS sent to their phones as long as it was a well defined emergency. Other features included access to email, internet and to have their school calender uploaded on their phones. We discused our blackberry project and informed them the capability of what applications we could add to these phones. The hour long discussion was a sucess. We received a good information to start with. We did a drawing for the winner to either win a blackberry 8800 or blackberry pearl. The student that won decided on the pearl.
